Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi delivered a speech on how the vision of human health resonates with other sects:
In the past, wars frequently broke out both in the East and the West. Compared to those times, today's society is relatively stable. Yet, due to differences in vision and faith, conflicts continue to grow, leading to wars that bring suffering to millions, even billions of people—threatening, at worst, the end of the world.
How can these problems be solved? It requires the radiant light of the Great Sun Tathagata to shine across the globe. The vision of the Great Sun Buddha is the vision of Ziguang Shang Shi, and it is also the vision of Guang Huan Mi Zong. Our mission is to help people and to promote harmony in this world. What do people truly seek in life? They seek health; they seek peace.
To attain health, one need cultivation—by practicing the Dharma of Guang Huan Mi Zong. This practice brings benefit and healing. That is our vision. We emphasize finding common ground on major principles, respecting minor differences, and engaging in dialogue with other sects first. True unification cannot be achieved through force, for no sect or religion can unify the entire world by coercion.
If the sects of the world take an interest in our vision, their thoughts and ideals may naturally find harmony with ours. They, too, desire health for humanity and well-being for their citizens. No nation wishes to see its people weakened by illness. For a country to be strong, its people must be healthy. Without health, how can they defend or safeguard their nation?
When ideology is harmonious and vision is aligned, peace and happiness will flourish in people's lives. This is the vision of Shakyamuni Buddha, the vision of Mahavairocana Buddha, and also the vision of Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi.
