Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi made a speech to the pilgrims who came for the Buddha's Birthday Convention:
Sakyamuni Buddha left a prophecy for the people in the world, that in a Western country, on the top of a snowy mountain, there is a Guru, who is like the Buddha, spreading the Three Vehicles of Yoga Dharma and expounding the Great Perfection Vajrayana.
Why is Sakyamuni Buddha's Dharma still existing in the world? Because it is the Truth, which shows the entire human race the illuminated path of Nirvana. Path of Nirvana is the road on which one can travel freely; people can protect themselves and attain wellbeing on this road. Unhealthy people all understand the importance of health.
Everyone wants to live longer; no matter what religious belief a person has, everyone needs health. In Guang Huan Mi Zong, as long as you practice the Dharma Ziguang Shang Shi teaches you, you could have much less risk of being sick or have no risk at all.
In the Dharma Vanishing Era, health is the most important of all. Without health, anything else is meaningless, even you are very wealthy, or have a lot of power, or even become a president or a king, it would be valueless. What is valuable then? Health is the most valuable. Sakyamuni Buddha therefore secretly transmitted the Great Perfection Esoteric Dharma to his 1250 disciples. Secretly means esoteric sect. Why it has to be taught secretly? Because in this world, there are a lot of good people, while there are a lot of bad people as well…
Millions of people are sick nowadays. Thus, Sakyamuni Buddha assigned Ziguang Shang Shi and 1,250 disciples to help those who are in need. How to make them believe in this? People can try the Dharma first. We have a Dharma called "One Day Zen" for beginners so they can try it and experience it. If they find that it really works, they can continue to learn the advanced level of Dharma.
