When speaking about the disasters occurring in the world, Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi explained the meaning of self-salvation in learning the Dharma:

There is no savior in this world; only you can save yourself.

Only when you practice the Guang Huan Mi Zong Nine Vehicles Dharma yourself and truly master the Dharma of Liberation, can you attain genuine liberation. Only when you personally listen to the Dharma, comprehend it, master it, and cultivate it, will you hold the key to liberation.
