Cultivation is for one's well-being and is carried out through the education of True Dharma and the practice of Esoteric Dharma. The education of Dharma must be based on the True Dharma.

Untrue Dharma refers to unrighteous paths, including those of evils, demons, and devils. They are also "dharmas"; the key point lies in whether this dharma is effective or ineffective for you.

An effective dharma, even if it bestows merely a benefit as small as a drop of water, should be repaid with gratitude and never forgotten. Yet does a repayment itself matter? Only the heart matters. When gratitude resides in the heart, it will not be forgotten. No matter how the kaleidoscopic world outside changes, your heart remains unchanged—the heart of gratitude.

As long as a heart of gratitude remains, everything can move forward, and all issues can be resolved. However, some people forget. Once they forget, afflictions return. By the time they recall what they once had and come back to learn the Dharma, it is already too late.

The human heart is hard to predict, as it is tied to benefit. Many people in this world live solely for benefit. This is the reason the world changes as it does. When Heaven intends to bring your life to an end, you have to face the final destination of existence, with no way to escape. Lives can end in an earthquake, just as a strong wind cause a great tree to fall.

Guang Huan Mi Zong also emphasizes "benefit," specifically benefiting others. Our Dharma is the Dharma that benefits sentient beings. Whether you can benefit sentient beings depends on your own level. This level is your degree of awakening. Only with awakening can one truly benefit him, her, and it.
